How does Summer Jump Start work?
Peach State Tutoring & Test Prep is offering the Summer Jump Start series to help your child make up for missed content in the spring semester and get a jump start on fall content. There isn't much time left to get ready for fall semester courses.
Students and parents choose the topics they want to focus on over the summer and share their availability with Peach State Tutoring, who will then create a customized schedule and curriculum for your child to ensure that they have mastered the topics from previous years and familiar with topics that they will face in their Fall semester coursework.
Summer Jump Start for each topic involves a 10-session program with each session lasting 1 hour. The team at Peach State Tutoring will work with you to create a schedule that is most convenient for you and your child.
The goal is to complete the tutoring before school starts so that your child is fully prepared for the upcoming academic year.
What is covered in each program?
Depending on the topic, your child will cover the first 2 to 3 months of content from their Fall courses. The instructors will adjust the curriculum and assignments based on your child’s needs. Some students will have mastered all the necessary topics from previous years and will be able to progress quickly while others may need to review some concepts from the last year to ensure that there are no gaps in their understanding as they move into their Fall coursework.
The curriculum and assignments for your child will be adjusted as they progress through the program such that they are as prepared as possible for the fall semester.
